This area of our web site is designed to aid EasySiteHost customers with web-related tasks.

E-Mail Administration Control Panel

E-Mail Overview:

To access your e-mail Control Panel, login to your master account at:

mail.yourdomain.com ( your domain and extension preceded by [ mail. ] )

For administrative control you must login as the administrator:

User ID:  admin@mydomain.com (note that you e-mail login is your full e-mail address)

Password: your password (case sensitive)

Once Logged in, you can add/delete users and/or alias accounts.

Note that for web-based mail, spell checking and list services are not available--even though those options are presented to the user. If you need such features, we suggest you use a POP3 e-mail client application such as Netscape Messenger, Eudora, or Microsoft Outlook/express. If you are using web-based iMail, you may want to consider installing JSpell.

E-Mail Detailed Instructions:

Here you will find detailed instructions for the use of the your email system. PLEASE READ before using your e-mail, or contacting us for technical support. Thank You.

 There are currently 3 different ways that one can use EasySiteHost.com e-mail.

1. An e-mail Forward account can be setup to send all mail that is delivered to a user@EasySiteHost.com e-mail address to any specified e-mail account. This allows one to check their yahoo/aol/hotmail account, for example, without having to log on to a different system to check their work e-mail.
    
2. A Web-based e-mail account is available. This type of account only applies to FULL e-mail accounts, and not to forward accounts. This requires a unique ID & Password.
    
3. A POP3 e-mail account is now available. This type of account only applies to FULL e-mail accounts, and not to forward accounts. As with the web mail account, a POP3 account requires a unique ID & Password. This type of account allows one to check email through such software as Netscape mail, Microsoft Outlook/express or Eudora, for example.

Note that if one has a full e-mail account, both web and POP3 e-mail are available, and can both be used interchangeably with no further setup.

Web Email Access: for FULL E-mail accounts only

Accessing your personal domain E-Mail Account through the Web:

1. Visit http://mail.YourDomain.com (where yourdomain.com is replaced by your registered domain information)

You will see a screen that looks like this:

2. Enter your UserID in the form of: email@yourdomain.com (i.e.) aPerson@yourdomain.com

Note: your UserID is your whole email address, not just the part before the @ symbol.

3. Next Enter your Password, which is supplied by EasysSiteHost.com for the Administrative account, and then generated by you for your user accounts.

Please note, that if you change your admin password, and loose it, there is a $25.00 administrative fee to have a new password generated.
 

You will then be able to send & receive e-mail from any web browser.  The main e-mail web interface will look like the sample presented below. Online help is provided.

POP3 Email Access: for FULL E-mail accounts only
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Accessing your email account using a POP3 mail client is as follows:

You must enable SMTP Authentication or you will not be able to send
mail. This is done through your mail client. Please refer to your mail client documentation on this.

1. POP3 server is mail.YourDomain.com
2. SMTP server is mail.YourDomain.com
3. Username is in user@YourDomain.com format.

If you're using Netscape mail, the username is in user@YourDomain.com format. 
Eudora Users use:  user@YourDomain.com@mail.YourDomain.com

4. Password is supplied by EasysSiteHost.com for the Administrative account, and then generated by you for your user accounts.

The FROM field in Outlook, Netscape, etc.  MUST be your email address
from the domain. ( i.e.)  user@YourDomain.com.  Otherwise, you'll receive a message that you can't relay--and your e-mail will not be delivered (this is to prevent spam e-mailing, and other abuses of outgoing e-mail).

Technical and setup details of your POP3 account:

*Outlook and Outlook Express*
To configure authenticated SMTP in Outlook Express:

1. From the Tools menu, select "Accounts..."
2. Highlight your Mail account (it may be called mail.domain.com).
3. Click the "Properties" button on the right side.
4. Choose the "Servers" tab.
5. Check the box next to "My server requires authentication."
6. Click the "Apply" button.
7. Click the "OK" button.

*Netscape Messenger*
To configure authenticated SMTP in Netscape Messenger:

1. From the Edit menu, select "Preferences..."
2. Click the plus (+) icon next to "Mail & Newsgroups."
3. Choose "Mail Servers."
4. In the "Outgoing mail server user name" field enter Username
5. Click the OK button.

*Eudora*
To configure authenticated SMTP in Eudora:

1. From the Tools menu, Select "Options..."
2. Click on the the "Sending Mail" icon.
3. Check the box next to "Allow authentication."
4. Click the OK button.

*Microsoft Entourage * To configure authenticated SMTP in Entourage:

1. From the Tools menu, select "Accounts."
2. Double-click your Mail account (it may be called mail.domain.com).
3. Click on the "Click here for advanced sending options" button.
4. Check the box next to "SMTP server requires authentication."
5. Select the radio button next to "Use same settings as incoming mail server."
6. Click the OK button Above are the instructions to give your users that will explain how to set their mail client for SMTP authentication.
